2. Have your child color the page using crayons, colored pencils, markers, or other traditional coloring materials.

3. Take a clear photograph or scan of the completed artwork.

4. Complete the official entry form and upload the artwork before the deadline.

Only one entry per child is permitted.

Families with multiple eligible children may submit one separate entry for each child.

Entries must use the official contest coloring page and reflect the child's own creative work. Parents may assist with printing, photographing, and submitting the artwork.

5. Artwork Requirements

Artwork must be completed by the child entering the contest.

Only the official Little Lumita contest coloring page will be accepted.

Submitted files must be JPG, JPEG, PNG, or PDF, with a maximum file size of 10 MB.

Artwork must be appropriate for a family-friendly contest.

Digitally generated or AI-colored entries are not eligible.

Texas Heart Collection may disqualify entries that do not meet the published requirements.

6. Finalist Selection

Following the entry deadline, a panel of three judges will review eligible entries.

Judges will consider:

Creativity and imagination

Use of color

Personal expression

Coloring does not need to be perfect. Creativity and individuality are encouraged!

Judges will select three finalists from each age category, for a total of six finalists.

Finalist artwork will be identified by an assigned entry number and age group, without displaying the child's or parent's name.

7. Community Voting

Finalist artwork will be presented to members of the private Texas Heart Founding Hearts Facebook group for voting November 3–5, 2026.

Two separate polls will be used:

One poll for ages 7–9

One poll for ages 10–12

Members will be asked to select one finalist in each age category.

The finalist receiving the highest number of valid votes in each category will be selected as that category's winner.

If there is a tie for first place, the judging panel will determine the winner using the judging criteria listed above.

Votes obtained through fraudulent activity, automated accounts, or manipulation may be excluded. Texas Heart Collection reserves the right to address voting irregularities fairly and consistently.

The contest is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook or Meta.

8. Prizes

Two winners will be selected - one from each age category.

Each winner will receive a Little Lumita Creative Gift Bundle featuring:

One printed LUMITA: Color Your Heart Happy coloring book

One colorful pack of crayons

One Little Lumita canvas tote

One personalized winner's certificate

Prizes are not redeemable for cash.

Prizes will be shipped at no cost to the winning families within the eligible contest area.

9. Winner Notification

Winners will be announced on November 6, 2026, using their assigned entry numbers.

The parent or legal guardian of each winner will be contacted privately using the email address provided on the entry form.

Shipping information will be requested privately after the contest and will not be displayed publicly.

10. Parental Permission and Privacy

A parent or legal guardian must submit each entry and agree to these rules.

By entering, the parent or legal guardian grants Texas Heart Collection permission to review the submitted artwork, assign an entry number, and display the artwork in the private Texas Heart Founding Hearts Facebook group if the entry is selected as a finalist.

Only the artwork, entry number, and age category will be displayed for finalist voting. The child's name and parent's name will not be included.

Although the Facebook group is private, members may screenshot or share content outside the group. Texas Heart Collection cannot guarantee that artwork posted within the group will remain there.

Parents retain ownership of their child's original artwork. Contest entry does not grant Texas Heart Collection permission to reproduce or sell that artwork as merchandise.

Any future promotional use beyond administering this contest will require separate parental permission.

Parent contact information and submitted artwork will be used for contest administration, winner notification, and prize fulfillment, not automatic marketing enrollment.

11. General Conditions

Texas Heart Collection may disqualify entries that violate these rules or involve fraudulent activity.

If circumstances outside the organizer's reasonable control interfere with the contest, Texas Heart Collection may modify, suspend, or cancel the contest, subject to applicable law, with notice to participants where practicable.

  • Where does The Mariposa Effect take place?

The experience is completely online and will be held live via Zoom. You can participate from wherever you are.

  • When will I receive the Zoom information?

Registered participants will receive event information and digital materials by email approximately one week before the experience. Additional reminders can be sent as November 7 approaches.

  • Will anything be mailed to me?

No. Your registration and all included materials are 100% digital, so there are no shipping charges or physical materials to wait for.

  • Do I need to read Broken Stronger: The Mariposa Edition before the workshop?

No. You'll receive it before the experience so you can begin reading if you'd like, but completing the book beforehand is not required to participate.

  • Do I need to already have a business or specific dream?

Absolutely not. Your “next” might be a business, book, career change, creative idea, personal goal or simply figuring out what you want this next chapter of your life to look like.

  • Is this just a motivational workshop?

No. Inspiration may happen, but that's not the goal. You'll actively work through the M.A.R.I.P.O.S.A. Framework using reflection, discussion, exercises and your Mariposa Map so you leave with something you can actually use.
